Accounting Crime



 Accounting crime is a kind of crime that accountant use their knowledge to make money illegally. The crime always do something that over his duty to make extra money. Besides, there are more young people would like to do this kind of thing.


   What kind of behavior can be defined as accounting crime?

  1. The people who make money from it instead of mistake, like use company's money without permission.
  2. There is a limit on the amount of money. For instance, if a accountant do tax evasion more than 10,000 dollars will be defined as a accounting crime.
  3.This behavior has impact on society or cause financial loss, it can be defined as the accounting crime.

  An example ( There is a female deputy mayor corrupts 3.47 million with an accountant)

    In China, there is a female deputy mayor corrupts 3.47 million with an accountant, she takes advantages of her power to make money crazily. Her name is SuMei Li.



   When she was a leader of the projects, she worked hard and tried to develop the department. As her power increase, the accountant Mr Tang told her that she can get some money from it. Then Mr Tang helped her to make money by the fake labor fee. They earned a lot of money from it. After they making money from it, they can not stop and keep earning money from it. According to the news, Sumei Li was punished 1,400,000 dollars and be imprisoned for 22 years. As for the accountant, he was punished 400,000 and be imprisoned for 15 years.

    From the example we can see that accounting crime will be punished strictly, and we should pay attention to this when we run our own business or work for other. We should never do that thing and never be attracted by money.
